Getting Help
This will be a 1.5 hour class which will give you information and new ways to improve your sleep. The next sleep classes will take place on the 09th February, 2012 from 17:30 – 19:00, 2012 in Bewick Hall in the City Library. The class is available to everyone who has their GP based in Newcastle. To register for this class please call Colm or Nazik on 0191 229 2941 (at present we are unable to take referrals for the sleep class via the website, however we are working on it)
What will I learn in the class
The class aims to give you the tools and guidance to help you get a good nights sleep. The class teaches you about:
- Understanding sleep
- Why we have poor sleep
- Quick tips on how to improve your sleep
- Monitoring the amount of sleep you do get and what influences your sleep
- Dealing with a racing mind
- Sleep Disorders
Who will be running the class?
The class is lead by a clinical psychologist. The presenters will also consist of a Primary Care Mental Health Worker and an Assistant Psychologist
Where and When does the course run?
The course runs at the end of our stress control class. All classes are held in the City Library, Bewick Hall. This is a nice modern venue located in the city centre. The classes for 2012 are on the following dates and times.
